A plug fan is a direct-driven centrifugal fan without a traditional scroll housing. It is commonly installed inside air handling units (AHUs), HVAC systems and ventilation cabinets.

Compared with conventional centrifugal fans, plug fans offer higher efficiency, lower noise levels and easier maintenance. Their compact design also makes them suitable for space-limited installations.
